Returnal launches on PC, 15th February!!!! - PC Specs included

The PC release of Returnal is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited to share the news with all of you. As you may already know, the game will be available on February 15, 2023, and we can't wait for you to join Selene on Atropos and experience the game in a whole new way.

So far, not many details have been released on any specific features that will add to the experience and immersion on PC, but we're here to give you a sneak peek of what's to come.

One of the most exciting features that have been added is the support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. These technologies allow you to dial up your framerate without compromising on resolution, making the game run smoother and more efficiently. Additionally, NVIDIA NIS has also been added for those players who also want to see an increase in performance, but don't have the hardware to support DLSS or FSR.

Another feature that will enhance the game's visuals is the support for ray-traced shadows and reflections. Our friends at Climax Studios have added this feature to make the contrast of the dark setting and neon bullets pop out even more than before. And to fully enjoy this feature, the game will now be available in two new wide resolution formats: Ultrawide at 21:9 and Super Ultrawide 32:9. Imagine all of that screen real estate that you will be able to take in when you're not in the middle of a giant boss fight.

But the game's immersive experience doesn't stop there. We highly recommend that you grab your favourite pair of headphones to experience the 3D sound of Returnal on PC. You'll be able to enjoy the award-winning audio and music through Dolby Atmos, two 3D audio solutions, or 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. And with custom ray-traced audio, you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in Returnal's atmosphere.

RETURNAL PC REQUIRMENTS

Use of performance enhancing upscaling like NVIDIA DLSS is recommended when using both ray-traced reflections and ray-traced shadows.

And last but not least, the game is best experienced on a DualSense controller in its full haptic feedback
and adaptive trigger glory. With this controller, you'll be able to experience each encounter with nudges and rumbling cues coming directly to your fingertips, adding an extra layer of communication as an advantage to the player. But don't worry, support for Keyboard & Mouse is also available, along with a wide range of customization options to tailor the controls to whatever suits you best.

In conclusion, the PC release of Returnal is shaping up to be an amazing experience. With the added features and support for new technologies, the game will run smoother and look better than ever before. And with the added immersion of 3D sound and haptic feedback, you'll be fully immersed in the game's atmosphere. We can't wait for you to join Selene on Atropos on February 15th, 2023.
